Health and Nutrition

IPHR-Uganda is dedicated to improving health and nutrition outcomes for vulnerable populations, particularly women and children, through comprehensive health interventions. Our programs focus on increasing access to essential health services, including maternal care, family planning, and HIV prevention and management. We provide critical reproductive health services, ensuring that women and adolescent girls, especially in crisis-affected areas, can access the care they need to stay healthy and safe. Our work also addresses malnutrition by promoting the intake of nutritious food and micronutrients, particularly for pregnant women, children, and other vulnerable groups. Through health education and community outreach, we empower individuals to make informed decisions about their health and well-being.

Additionally, IPHR-Uganda emphasizes the importance of integrating health and nutrition into broader community development strategies. By working with local health providers, we strengthen the capacity of health facilities to offer quality services, improve hygiene and sanitation, and provide training for healthcare workers. Our approach also includes supporting nutrition-sensitive agricultural practices to ensure that communities can access and produce sufficient nutritious food. Through these efforts, IPHR-Uganda is helping to reduce preventable diseases, improve health outcomes, and enhance the overall well-being of vulnerable populations, particularly in times of crisis and instability.
