Economic Empowerment for Women, Girls, and Youth

At IPHR-Uganda, we are dedicated to empowering women, girls, and youth, particularly those from marginalized backgrounds, by providing opportunities for social and economic inclusion. Our economic empowerment programs focus on enhancing the skills, knowledge, and resources needed for individuals to become self-reliant and active contributors to their communities. We offer capacity-building initiatives that include vocational training, business skills development, and access to income-generating opportunities. By equipping participants with diverse skills such as brick making, sewing, baking, hairstyling, and more, we help them diversify their sources of income and achieve financial independence.

Our women- and girl-friendly spaces are crucial to this work, as they serve as safe environments where participants can learn, network, and access resources that promote their personal and professional growth. Additionally, we advocate for women’s and youth’s rights in the workplace and promote gender-sensitive economic policies that ensure equal opportunities for all. Through these efforts, IPHR-Uganda strives to break the cycle of poverty and empower women, girls, and youth to achieve long-term social and economic stability. By fostering resilience and self-sufficiency, we contribute to building stronger, more equitable communities.
