Child Protection

At IPHR-Uganda, child protection is a fundamental aspect of our work, driven by our commitment to ensuring that children are safeguarded from all forms of violence, exploitation, abuse, and neglect. Our programs are designed to prevent and address child protection issues through a comprehensive approach that includes raising awareness, providing protective services, and advocating for children’s rights at the national and local levels. We work closely with national governments, community leaders, and humanitarian partners to strengthen child protection systems, ensuring that children, particularly those in crisis situations, receive the care, support, and legal protection they need.

Our child protection initiatives also focus on empowering communities to take an active role in the safety and well-being of children. This includes training community-based child protection committees, organizing awareness campaigns on child rights, and establishing child-friendly spaces where children can receive psychosocial support and participate in educational and recreational activities. By building local capacity and fostering a protective environment, we ensure that children are not only shielded from harm but also able to develop and thrive in safe, supportive communities. Through these efforts, IPHR-Uganda strives to create a future where every child can grow up free from violence and with access to their full potential.
