Our Work with Persons with Disabilities

Since 2019, Integration for Peace and Hope Restoration Uganda (IPHR Uganda) has been actively working with persons with disabilities across the country. Our interventions are designed to promote inclusion, dignity, and empowerment for people living with disabilities, ensuring they are recognized as vital members of society.

IPHR Uganda donates a range of essential items to support persons with disabilities. These include wheelchairs, walking sticks, and standing aids to enhance their mobility and independence. Beyond providing these supportive items, we also conducted practical training sessions for them on how to repair and maintain wheelchairs, helping them to develop the confidence and skills to manage their equipment.

To further foster self-reliance, IPHR Uganda has introduced vocational training programs for persons with disabilities. These programs focus on equipping participants with new skills that can open pathways to sustainable livelihoods and economic empowerment.

Our ongoing mission is to break down barriers, challenge stigma, and create opportunities where all individuals, regardless of their physical abilities, can thrive and contribute to society.
